ABOUT TALK
This practice was born out of the belief that therapy doesn’t have to feel clinical or cold — it can be grounding, flexible, and nourishing. It can look like a weekly space to reconnect with yourself, feel your feelings without judgment, and make sense of what’s next.
We chose the name Talk because that’s where it starts. A single conversation — without pressure, without performance. A space where you can be seen exactly as you are, with a professional guide who’s fully present for whatever you’re bringing in that day.
We don’t see therapy as “fixing.” We see it as coming home to yourself.
Why Talk Exists
Our Philosophy
At Talk, we believe there’s no one-size-fits-all way to heal. That’s why we practice integrative, evidence-based therapy that adapts to you.
Whether you’re navigating anxiety, burnout, a new life phase, or something you don’t even have words for yet, our work together will be centered on your goals, values, and pace.
About Amanda
Hi, I’m Amanda Pflumm. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), and I’ve spent over a decade helping people feel more grounded, more resilient, and more connected to themselves.
Before opening Talk, I worked across a wide spectrum of mental health care — from emergency psychiatry and crisis intervention to individual and group therapy. What’s stayed consistent through it all is my belief that therapy works best when it’s real, relational, and tailored to you.
My interest in therapy stems from a deep fascination with the human experience — the resilience, the vulnerability, and the endless capacity for change. The goal of my therapeutic process is to partner with individuals as they unravel their unique stories, make sense of their past, and develop the understanding and tools to consciously shape their future — because every individual has an innate capacity for growth and transformation.
Above all, I prioritize creating an authentic, confidential space where you feel truly seen, heard, and understood.
I’ve spent the last 10+ years working in various clinical settings — from hospital-based emergency psychiatry and neuropsych evaluations to more intimate, long-term therapeutic care. Those early years taught me to listen closely, act quickly when needed, and never underestimate the resilience of the human spirit.

My work is rooted in deep listening, attunement, and helping you feel safe in your own process. Whether you’re coming to therapy for the first time or returning after a break, I’ll meet you where you are — with clarity, compassion, and respect.
While I work with a wide range of clients, most of the people who find their way here are in some kind of transition. Sometimes that change is visible — like a breakup, a job shift, or a move. Other times, it’s internal. A quiet knowing that something needs to shift.

You might be:
Feeling overwhelmed or emotionally exhausted
Struggling with anxiety, stress, or burnout
Coping with grief, loss, or a recent life event
Experiencing self-doubt, imposter syndrome, or perfectionism
Wanting to reconnect with yourself — mentally, emotionally, or spiritually
You don’t need a perfect reason to start therapy. You just need a space that feels safe enough to begin.
